Als Gäste begrüßt Gilby Clarke auf der Platte MÖTLEY CRÜE-Bassist Nikki Sixx sowie die Schlagzeuger John Mellencamp, Kenny Aronoff (CHICKENFOOT) und Stephen Perkins (JANE'S ADDICTION). "The Gospel Truth" ist Clarkes erstes Soloalbum seit beinahe 20 Jahren. Mit 'The Gospel Truth', 'Rock N Roll is Getting Louder' und 'Tightwad' koppelte Gilby bereits drei Singles aus.
